Our Story
From Venetian roots to the future

Carlon bakery, the heart of Venice

In authentic Venice, away from tourist crowds, Carlon bakery was more than just a shop: it was a meeting point, a community place. Days would begin with the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting through the narrow streets and small squares. Venetians would meet there to buy their daily bread and chat with the bakers.

Carlon’s story is woven into the city’s social fabric: a business that has been part of weddings, neighborhood celebrations, generations of students and families. When the bakery was about to close, it wasn’t just a business disappearing, but a piece of Venice’s collective memory.

From origins to a new vision: the birth of Farini

The closure of Carlon bakery would have been an irreparable loss. This awareness gave birth to Farini: a project that serves as a bridge between past and present.

Our idea was clear: preserve the craftsmanship, passion for good bread, and historic recipes, but place them in a modern, accessible, and inclusive context. Not just a simple restyling, but a new chapter in a century-old story.

With Farini, baking becomes an experience: welcoming spaces with thoughtful design, expanded menus including pizza, pastries, brunch, and specialty coffee, but always with an artisanal soul.

The expansion in Venice
One city, multiple souls

After the first opening, Venice saw new Farini locations emerge.

Each location was designed with a distinct personality to connect with its surrounding neighborhoods. This allowed us to establish roots in the lagoon city while respecting its cultural diversity.

What you’ll find at Farini Venezia

Breakfast

In Venice, breakfast is a daily ritual shaped by rhythm, flavour and authenticity: a moment to savour before starting the day, among narrow streets, squares and journeys through the heart of the city. At Farini, we carry on this tradition with a contemporary touch, offering freshly baked pastries, artisan bread and a wide selection of hot and cold drinks.

Whether you want to start your day with a bold espresso, a creamy cappuccino or a speciality coffee brewed using alternative methods, you will always find the perfect choice. Our Carlon, Rialto, Apostoli and San Lio locations welcome you into carefully designed and inviting spaces, ideal for enjoying a quality breakfast in Venice.

Spritz

Spritz is more than a cocktail: it’s the symbol of Veneto conviviality and something to experience at least once in your life. Born between Venice and Padua in the 19th century, spritz has evolved into the quintessential Italian aperitivo. The combination of prosecco, Aperol or Select, and soda makes for a light, refreshing mix — perfect for chats with friends or a sunset stroll along the canals. At Farini we celebrate this tradition every day, serving authentic spritz in a warm, modern atmosphere.

Breakfast

Venice isn't just gondolas, alleys and canals: the city also offers a breakfast culture that blends historic bars, artisanal pastry shops and modern coffee shops.

Whether you're a tourist looking for the best breakfast in Venice or a resident seeking a quick but quality breakfast, Farini represents the perfect meeting point between tradition and innovation: fresh products, artisanal sweets and coffee that knows how to win you over.

Specialty Coffee

Specialty coffee is more than just a beverage: it's the result of a careful supply chain, made of selected beans, artisanal roasting and extraction methods that enhance unique aromas and nuances.

In Venice, a city of history and innovation, Farini proposes a new coffee culture that combines the tradition of Italian espresso with modern filter coffee techniques. With us, every cup becomes a sensory journey through fruity, floral and spicy notes.

Coffee

The coffee culture in Venice has ancient roots. It's no coincidence that one of Europe's first historic cafes, the famous Caffè Florian in Piazza San Marco, was born here. For centuries, Venetians have loved meeting in cafes to socialize, read, or simply enjoy an espresso.

Today, the lagoon city offers a wide choice: from historic cafes with timeless charm to modern venues embracing the specialty coffee trend. Farini fits into this tradition by offering a modern cafe that combines Italian craftsmanship with an international touch.

Pizza

In Venice, cradle of millennia-old stories, pizza is reinvented with an artisanal soul. At Farini, long-fermented doughs blend lightness and flavor; every slice tells a story of selected flours and fresh toppings. Whether you love a classic Margherita or gourmet combos with seasonal veg, each slice will take you through the heart of the lagoon city with all the quality of a contemporary bakery.

Pasta

Venice is famous not only for its canals but also for its culinary tradition, especially pasta, often prepared with the freshest seafood. At Farini, this tradition meets innovation: fresh pasta options, quick to enjoy or take away, designed for those seeking taste and convenience. From classic bigoli in salsa to creative dishes, each course is prepared with genuine ingredients and can be enjoyed in the most strategic locations of the city, ideal for a break between walks.

A story looking to the future
